How to Brew a cup of good tea?
Different types of teas have different brewing methods.  DouTea here introduce 2 types of tea brewing methods. (For brewing loose tea only)

Conventional Method A -using a teapot and some small cups (usually 5-6 small cups)
White Tea & Green Tea & Flowering Tea

  1. Put hot water into teapot;
  2. Pour hot water on teapot surface;
  3. Pour hot water in tea cups and their surfaces;
  4. Pour off hot water;
  5. Pour around 250ml~300ml hot water into teapot;
  6. Pick around 3g~5g tea leaves (or 1 flower bud) into teapot;

*For flowering tea, please place the flower bud into teapot before pouring hot water.

  1. Wait for 2 minutes;
  2. Pour the tea into tea jar and pour it into small tea cups.
  3. Enjoy your tea!

*We suggest use a glass teapot and small glass cups to brew these three kinds of teas.
*Please do NOT mix up 1st brew and 2nd brew or 3rd brew tea as their tastes are slightly different from each other.
*Please do NOT leave any water in teapot every time after you pour the tea in tea jar.

Pu-erh Tea & Black Tea & Oolong Tea

  1. Put hot water into teapot;
  2. Pour hot water on teapot surface;
  3. Pour hot water in tea cups and their surfaces;
  4. Pour off hot water;
  5. Pick around 5g~7g tea leaves into teapot;
  6. Pour around 250ml~300ml hot water into teapot;
  7. Wait for 20 seconds;
  8. Pour off the tea (remain tea leaves only);
  9. Again, pour around 250ml~300ml hot water into teapot;
  10. Wait for 1 minute and 30 seconds;
  11. Pour the tea into tea jar and pour it into small tea cups.
  12. Enjoy your tea!

*We suggest using a porcelain teapot and small porcelain cups to brew Black Tea & Oolong Tea; and, using a red clay teapot and some small red clay cups to brew Pu-erh Tea.
*Please do NOT mix up 1st brew and 2nd brew or 3rd brew tea as their tastes are slightly different from each other.
*Please do NOT leave any water in teapot every time after you pour the tea in tea jar.

 

Conventional Method B -using 1 large cup
White Tea & Green Tea & Flowering Tea

  1. Pour around 250ml~300ml hot water into the cup;
  2. Pick around 3g~5g tea leaves (or 1 flower bud) into teapot;

*For flowering tea, please place the flower bud into teapot before pouring hot water.

  1. Wait for 2 minutes;
  2. Enjoy your tea!

*We suggest use a standard glass cup to brew these three kinds of teas.
*Please do NOT add water before you drink all teas as the taste between 1st, 2nd or 3rd brew is slightly different from each other.

Pu-erh Tea & Black Tea & Oolong Tea

  1. Pick around 5g~7g tea leaves into the cup;
  2. Pour around 250ml~300ml hot water into the cup;
  3. Wait for 20 seconds;
  4. Pour off the tea (remain tea leaves only);
  5. Again, pour around 250ml~300ml hot water into the cup;
  6. Wait for 1 minute and 30 seconds;
  7. Enjoy your tea!

*We suggest using a standard Chinese porcelain tea cup to brew these 3 kinds of teas.
*Please do NOT add water before you drink all teas as the taste between 1st, 2nd or 3rd brew is slightly different from each other.
