Tea Set Tea Set is originally related to Western tradition; it is a suite of dishes and cups that are used at afternoon tea or in a formal party. However, tea sets are not only related to Western society nowadays, but also referring to other countries tea cultures. For example, we have got Chinese tea sets in China, Japanese tea sets in Japan, English tea sets in English countries.
Tea sets vary greatly in quality and price. Especially in China, some tea lovers pay and invite the top master to make a customize and personal Chinese tea set, always made in Foshan of Guangzhou and made the tea set by red clay. It may costs $100,000 or more!
However, for general tea lovers, they will choose to buy ready-to-use tea sets and all of these tea sets are made by mass production; so, the cost will be much lower.
Chinese tea sets can be made by clay, iron, gold, bamboo, glass and porcelain.
Porcelain is one of the most popular materials to Chinese tea sets; there are white porcelain, green porcelain, black porcelain and colorful porcelain.
A typical Chinese tea set always include a teapot, some tea cups, a tea tray, a tea infuser, a tea jar, tea spoon and tea pliers.

Jasmine Tea

Jasmine Tea is kind of Chinese green tea, and it is the most fragrant and one of the most popular Chinese tea in the world.
Its leave shape is simply tightly rolled while the taste is refreshing, bit sweet with fresh Jasmine fragrance.
When people say Jasmine Tea, they always refer to Jasmine loose Tea or Jasmine Dragon Pearl.
It is just so easy to recognize, you may refer to my uploaded pictures below.

See! The tea leaves of Jasmine loose Tea is tightly rolled, thin and long; while the tea leaves of Jasmine Dragon Pearl green tea is totally different in shape, they are tightly rolled into a ball shape like a pearl.
Since green tea can lower the risk of getting cancer, heart attacks, liver disease and slimming, so, nowadays, more and more people treat drinking green tea as a habit.
We found a very interesting phenomenon; most of Japanese men like Jasmine scented Tea, the loose tea one; while most of Japanese women like Jasmine Dragon Pearl. I guess it is because the tea leaves shape…?
Jasmine Green Tea is a traditional Chinese green tea and it is a loose tea, too.

So, when we brew it, we always choose glass tea pots and cups; and using porcelain tea pots and cups will be our 2nd choice.Labels: Anti Cancer, green tea, slimming, Tea |

Golden Osmanthus
|
|
Golden Osmanthus (Huang Jin Gui oolong tea)Huang Jin Gui is translated directly from its Mandarin pronunciation. It is a kind of Oolong tea and one of most women favorite teas since it can slim body and slow aging process. Golden Osmanthus is another name of it, and most foreigners use this name rather than Huang Jin Gui. It is mainly grow and harvest in Fujian province of China. Since Golden Osmanthus has high aroma and its price is more affordable, so this kind of Oolong tea becomes one of the most wanted Oolong teas in Fujian procince. People named it as Golden Osmanthus because its color is so beautiful and attractive, like placing a block of gold in front of you. It tastes so good and smooth, same as all Oolong teas, the taste and smell of Golden Osmanthus stays with you after you drank it. This kind of Oolong tea is delicious and suitable for 4 seasons. Brewing Golden Osmanthus (Huang Jin Gui Oolong tea) is easy. I suggest using porcelain tea sets to make this kind of tea. Firstly, we need to rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water; then fill the teapot 1/4 to 1/3 full with ~100°c hot water; after that, we put tea leaves on top of the hot water and wait for 1 minute. For the 1st and 2nd brewing, we need to wait for 1 minute, after that, we slowly increase steeping time for subsequent brewing. For me, I always brew hot tea, as Chinese medical suggests drinking hot teas are better than cold teas for all women. However, you may brew Golden Osmanthus and make it as a cold tea; its taste is good, too. Labels: Knowledge, Oolong tea, slimming, slow aging, Tea |

So, Chrysanthemum tea is my favorite flowering tea to drink for health purpose. The calories are almost zero if you don’t add any sugar or honey into the chrysanthemum tea, and most important point is; it does not contain any caffeine.
So, once you are having too much fried, baked and barbequed foods or you cannot always keep healthy meals and resting times, it is encouraged to drink Chrysanthemum tea once or twice a week.
